Robert Collier is the Chief Executive Officer of Riverina Fresh Pty Ltd, an independent 100% Australian-owned dairy manufacturer and food distributor, producing award-winning milk, cream, and other dairy products in the Riverina region of NSW. Rob initiated the successful turnaround of the Riverina Fresh business under Fonterra ownership from 2013 and was appointed CEO when the business was sold in 2016 to Blue River Group - an impact investment firm with a vision to build a premium branded business that delivers positive regional outcomes. During his time with Riverina Fresh, Rob has led significant strategic change and business optimisation; provided clear focus, and developed a range of premium products, resulting in strong business growth. At Fonterra, in addition to leading the Riverina Fresh turnaround, Rob led the development and delivery of its Australian Milk Strategic Plan, securing a ten-year, $1 billion fresh milk supply contract. Prior to this, Rob delivered significant International growth in senior leadership roles at Fonterra from 2004 as a founding member of the Global Foodservice business and as a member of the Australian leadership team. Before his seventeen years in the dairy industry, Rob held international business roles across a range of industries with Davey Pumps, Sigma Pharmaceuticals and Cheetham Salt. Rob is an advocate for preserving and building on Australia’s farming heritage and the integrity and sustainability of regional food production. He is passionate about the marketing of premium products to the local community and beyond.
